This is a rare tea, painstakingly picked from only the right tea bushes in the Oodoowerre garden. These pale green-grey tips are magnificently large at over one inch long with a captivating blackcurrant aroma to the dry leaf which is just dried on blankets in the sun. In the cup the liquor is light to medium bodied and straw in colour with somewhat more body than China's Baihao Yinzhen. It is smooth, beautifully mild, buttery and slightly nutty on the pallet with a long sweetish, melon-like finish. Use freshly drawn and boiled water cooled to around 80 degreees. Infuse three grams per cup for four minutes and drink without milk.
