Infuse 3 grams per person for two minutes with water that has come well off the boil to around 80 degrees C. It can be infused several times.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\u003cp\u003eSencha was developed in Japan by intellectuals keen to create a simpler method of drinking and appreciating tea compared with the rigidity of the Tea Ceremony where powdered tea was used. It follows the approach taken by the Chinese with their Yixing teapots, using instead an equally simple porcelain teapot with projecting handle.
