Nilgiri BOP tea: Quinshola small leaf for greater strength and quicker brewing

Nilgiri BOP tea from the Quinshola garden has the typical characteristic of a Nilgiri, being between the strength of an Assam and the delicacy of a Darjeeling. This small leaf tea is fragrant and brisk with a well- rounded, medium body which makes it excellent for all day drinking. Use one teaspoon per cup and one for the pot with freshly boiling water and infuse for three minutes.

The benefits of loose leaf tea

  • This is a carefully sourced tea chosen for its distinctive, balanced flavour.
  • Loose leaf tea enables the full flavour characteristics of the tea to infuse.
  • The tea is chosen for its high grade which imparts the flavour and aroma characteristics for which this tea is best known.
  • A little patience is required when infusing large leaf grades but you will be rewarded with a superior, more balanced cup.

  4. d.j.fulford (verified owner)

Having visited Kerala and bought Nilgiri from local suppliers, I decided I like the tea and looked for a supplier in the UK. Greys were able to provide the tea I wanted and I was able to order it easily. The tea arrived quickly and I am now able to enjoy my favorite tea.

  7. Rupert Knowles (verified owner)

    Product:
Service: But I wish they would stop bombarding me with emails, offers, surveys etc. When I run out and want more tea, I will order it………but you could turn me away with all this rubbish!
Vendor response: I am sorry you feel we are bombarding you with emails. Customers receive two emails per month if you have elected to have them. Feefo send an automated survey email a few days after shipping if you have purchased. We send no other emails. I hope this puts things in perspective.

  8. Sarju Lad (verified owner)

Product: Nice robust tea, loved it!!
Service: Swift professional service, no complaints – received an email to tell me my order had been dispatched – brilliant because it was Christmas when I placed my order.

  9. Rupert Knowles (verified owner)

    Product:
Service: Too many emails and promotions. I buy tea when we run out! For everyday drinking we use Sainsbury’s or Waitrose tea bags. They also make an excellent cuppa.
Vendor response: We send only two promotional emails each month to customers. Should you wish not to receive these you are can opt-out at the foot of those emails.
Our English Breakfast is not a strong tea. It contains some Darjeeling for a little lightness.

  10. Vanessa Gottesman (verified owner)

Product: Excellent black tea with lovely depth of flavour.
Service: Excellent service. Rather too many feedback requests though. One should be sufficient.

  11. Mrs Jennifer J Knowles (verified owner)

Product: I try to bring back Nilgiri tea each time I go to Kerala in south west India. Your Nilgiri takes me back there every time I make a pot and it is a delight to drink. Wonderful scent and taste and I drink a whole pot to myself.
Service: The tea arrived very quickly and well packaged.

  12. Rupert Knowles (verified owner)

Product: One of my favourites: very difficult to buy Nilgiri tea elsewhere and the product that drew me to Grey’s Teas. I have visited tea estates in the Nilgiris and my family used to run one.
Service: The company provides a very efficient service and fills a gap in the market: it is very difficult to buy interesting loose-leaf teas in supermarkets.
Also the company has not been tempted to follow the current fad for flavoured teas, apart from traditional jasmine and bergamot.
