Description

Nilgiri organic tea: Thiashola TGFOP grade.

Thiashola is the oldest of Nilgiri's tea gardens having been established in 1859. In 2003 it was amongst the first to be certified organic. This Nilgiri organic tea is TGFOP grade and has a noticeably a reddish hue. The liquor is classically light, with a fragrant and brisk, refreshing character that explains why those in the know are so devoted to this excellent tea. Use one teaspoon per cup and one for the pot with freshly boiled water. Best with only a little milk, it can be drunk without.

Amazing tea "This Nilgiri tea is one of the best teas I have ever tasted. Quite strong, and a very good alternative to Assam or English breakfast."

A light, sparkling tea, easy to drink at any time "A refreshing tea for any time of day or night, lightly fragrant, producing a clear red/amber liquor. Good also for picnics, not needing  milk. Superior to other Nilgiri species."

"It's a very good tea - medium bodied and refreshing. I usually do not drink it in the morning as it's not that strong to give you a lively kick at the start of the day, but it makes a perfect afternoon tea."

Very smooth and enjoyable  "The leaf has a reddy hue giving a light brown colour in the cup. The armoa is typically Nilgiri with some aspects being very similar to Darjeeling. The taste is very distinctly Nilgiri. A very smooth and enjoyable tea to be drunk anytime of the day."

"Good for anytime of day, from early morning to picnics.Golden amber for the late night drink with a mellow flavour distinct from other teas. A bright, crisp flavour for the morning."

    Product:
Service: The four 100g bags arrived an a neat pizza-style box, just one day after ordering. Grey’s tea packaging is excellent: inner paper sacks, then aluminium foil, then mylar film on the outside. No messing! They got the tea to me just as fast as possible, as well-presented as possible.

  12. Julie Brown (verified owner)

    Product:
Service: Nice friendly company. Would like to try some of their other teas, would they consider smaller taster packs or a verity pack of taster teas to buy.

  13. Paula George (verified owner)

Product: Good tea, shame about the supplier. Other on-line shops sell high quality single-estate Nilgiri, I have discovered.
Service: Items said to be despatched on 22 January 2016 arrived on 3 February with a 1 February 2016 franking date. Mranwhile, Mr Grey was averse to accepting that the goods had not arrived after over a week supposedly in the post, said that he would not send replacements until a forthnight had passed (no offer of refund, mind), and wanted me to chase Royal Mail for him (without benefit of proof of posting). Bah!
Vendor response: As per my email dated 2.2.16, I appreciate the inconvenience but we could not despatch a second order until we were fairly sure that the first was missing. I am pleased it did arrive safely. I tried to ring your local Royal Mail delivery office but could not locate the number. I am sorry delivery has taken so long. The postal system is normally very reliable.

  16. Jeffery Temple

Product: I like Nilgiri teas but always find that when trying something new to me I have to readjust my palate. I’m at the very beginning of that palate adjustment right now so I’m currently unable to judge how good it may soon become.
Service: The order was processed and dispatched within a couple of days. The selection was extremely good, the only drawback was my lack of funds… I would have loved to have purchased more.
