So good is Keemun Hao Ya B that this beautifully winey tea is largely kept within China. It is picked after Hao Ya A, hence being labelled B. The leaf is very black, neatly and delicately formed but with evident tips, unusual in a China black tea. It produces a well rounded, deep red cup with balanced tannins and a beautifully floral, orchid note. Use one teaspoon per cup and infuse for three minutes. It is best enjoyed without milk.

Since discovering this wonderfully drinkable tea after reading a review on Grey’s Teas’ website around ten years ago, Keemun Hao Ya B has become one of my regular favourites.

It has a smooth, rich flavour that is full of character without ever being overpowering. Whether enjoyed first thing in the morning or later in the day, it is consistently satisfying and easy to drink.

What I particularly appreciate is its reliability. Over the years, the quality has remained excellent, making it a tea that I return to again and again. If you enjoy a traditional black tea with plenty of flavour and a smooth finish, I can highly recommend it.
