Terms and Conditions

We hope these terms and conditions will answer any questions you may have when buying our teas.

Making a Purchase

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa and Mastercard; Switch and Delta. Alternatively, we accept PayPal. We can also accept telephone orders: #44 (0) 1564 792295.

Shipping charges

Orders £30 and over are delivered free within the UK by 2nd Class post. Orders to this value are charged £3.95 2nd Class postage.

Orders £50 and over can be delivered free within the UK by 1st Class post. Orders below this value are charged £5.45 up to and including 1kg. Orders up to and including 2kg are charged £7.25. All orders over 2kg are sent by courier.

Orders £100 and over are delivered free within the UK by courier. Courier orders to this value are charged £9.20. Delivery is by 18.00 next day delivery. Please note that we cannot always guarantee same day dispatch. On working days of the week, we endeavour to send all orders specifying courier dispatch received by 10.00 by courier on the same day.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to send orders same day or next working day. Delivery times will depend upon destination and whether First or Second Class postage or next day courier service is chosen, if for delivery within the UK.

Back Orders

In the unlikely event that one of your items is not in stock or we have insufficient quantity to satisfy your order, there will be a delay of a few days until new stocks arrive. In such circumstances you may be e-mailed an On Hold status with the option to cancel or change your order should you rather not wait.

Tax Charges

Tea, as with most food and drink in the UK is zero rated for UK Value Added Tax (VAT).

Credit Card Security

Credit and debit card details are securely processed by WorldPay or PayPal. You may choose either.

Remittance Terms

Payment can be made securely online via WorldPay by credit or debit card or by PayPal. We do not receive card details. We may agree to receiving payment by BACS. Payment must be received before delivery.

Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy

You may cancel an order that has not been despatched by replying to your order confirmation email or by telephoning us. Your card or account will then be repaid within 14 days of cancellation.

Should you not be happy with your purchase you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods. These should be returned within 14 days of this cancellation. We will reimburse your card or account within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. Alternatively, you may choose different teas. In the unlikely event of wrong despatch or faulty goods we will reimburse any postage costs incurred in returning the goods to us. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

We do not disclose customer information to third parties. Cookies are used on this site to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item. Information required when ordering is only used to enable completion of that order. Information given voluntarily to help us understand your needs as a customer also remains confidential. Information you enter in our checkout may be stored briefly so that we may contact you about any unconfirmed transactions. This may be used to send an email to identify any problems incurred by you whilst trying to order. We will not use this data for any other purpose. Should you wish to subscribe to our free newsletter your details are only used for this purpose and are not passed to any third parties.

Disputes

We will do all we can to ensure that you are delighted with your teas and our service. Any complaints should be addressed to us via our contact page or by telephone. We aim to respond the same day.

We store your name, address phone number, email address and purchase history to make making future purchases easier and to enable you to refer to details of your past purchases. We do not receive and do not store card details which are processed by WorldPay.

Reviews

Creating an account also enables you to post reviews of the teas ordered from us. When these are published your name is identified unless you opt not to do so.

If you do not create an account with us

We store order details only for commercial reference purposes should you make a query about your purchase with us. We do not receive and do not store card details which are processed by WorldPay or PayPal.

Your name and email address

We send emails twice monthly to customers giving details of new products and special offers as well as other information about tea which may be of interest. We store this information on our internal system which is password protected. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link at the foot of all emails.

Newsletter subscribers

We send emails twice monthly about new products and special offers as well as other information about tea which may be of interest. We store this information on our internal system which is password protected. If you subscribe via our pop-up you may unsubscribe at any time via the link at the foot of all emails.

Administration of mailings

We use Mail Chimp to send regular emails. They securely store names and email addresses of customers and newsletter subscribers for this purpose only and ensure that the data is kept up-to-date according to customer and subscriber requests.
