For The World's Greatest Teas

Ceylon Uva teas

Ceylon Uva teas: famous for their floral quality & light body.

Ceylon Uva teas are from the eastern slopes of Sri Lanka’s central highlands. They are smooth with a heady aroma and pronounced floral taste.

Grown at an altitude of 600 to 2800 feet and picked June to September after the hot, dry Cachan winds from the north east force the leaves to close up, capturing the flavour as the leaves dry.

They are processed in the cool of the night and are lightly oxidised. These sought-after, aromatic teas are mellow with a coppery red colour, full, smooth flavour and notable aroma produced by the hard wither, lower moisture content of the leaf.
