Located in the Rungbong Valley at an altitude of up to 7000 feet, this Darjeeling Sungma First Flush 2022 is from one of the most highly acclaimed gardens having a history of producing first-rate teas. Called Moonshine this has a lovely fresh green and white tippy appearance. Its character is smooth, light and fruity with a subtle muscatel character. A must-drink tea! Infuse one teaspoon per person and one for the pot with freshly boiled water for three minutes. Sumptuous.

    Product: again this is a perfect second flush with a very interesting slightly burnt tang to it – don’t let that put you off – it’s up their with the very best of the Darjeeling second flushes.

    It must be me: I thought I liked second flush Darjeeling, but I found this undrinkable; really bitter and harsh. I will test again, and report back. I did use filtered water; I’ll try it with tap water next time.
