Summer Organic Tea Collection: four new teas

For sublime summer drinking our Summer Organic Tea Collection comprises four of our new loose leaf organic teas.

Korean green organic: Jeoncha: sencha style, second flush tea picked in June

Having a long, dark green leaf Korean Green Jeoncha organic tea is steamed and pressed flat. In the cup it produces a strikingly gorgeous, emerald green infusion which is fresh and bright on the palate with a lovely smooth vegetal character. Its aroma is one of fresh spring greens. Infuse for two minutes with freshly boiled water that has cooled for a couple of minutes.

Darjeeling Monteviot Organic First Flush

This organic first flush Darjeeling is produced at Monteviot, one of Darjeeling’s oldest tea gardens located in Kurseong south valley at an average altitude of 3600 feet. At around 220 acres the garden it is also one of Darjeeling’s smallest. The leaf is green and neat with a clean, fresh hay-like aroma. In the cup the golden infusion yields a lovely, highly drinkable, honeyish tea with little astringency and a long finish. Brew for four minutes without milk.

Nepalese organic tea: Kathmandu TGFOP

This Nepalese organic tea has a strength and slight sweetness that is ideal for an afternoon tea. The tippy TGFOP grade leaf has the lovely, fresh aroma of a Himalayan meadow. Kathmandu produces a smooth, well flavoured cup with a character between that of a muscatel Darjeeling and a winey Keemun. Most satisfying. Use one teaspoon per cup and one for the pot with freshly boiling water and infuse for five minutes.

Golden Yunnan Organic tea: black tea from south-west China

Having golden tips this is a creamy, rich Organic Golden Yunnan tea from the northern highlands of Yunnan Province in south-west China. It makes a very attractive, creamy, aromatic and well-balanced morning tea that may be taken with milk. Use one teaspoon per cup and one for the pot with freshly boiling water and infuse for four minutes.
